I am a part-time Teacher of French and Primary Cluster Co-ordinator for MFL in Cottingham, E. Yorkshire. I also teach Y4 French at my son's school on a voluntary basis.

The origins of les jours de la semaine (the days of the week)

Did you know that our closest five planets plus the moon and the sun gave name to the days of the week?:

• lundi Moon
• mardi Mars
• mercredi Mercury
• jeudi Jupiter
• vendredi Venus
• samedi Saturn
• dimanche Sun
